I grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, about 30 miles from the Utah border. I've been lucky to live in some beautiful places, including Bolivia, California, Paris, and now Philadelphia. And I love to travel, which has taken me to a number of other beautiful places. When I'm not on the road, I spend my time outdoors or messing around with various art and writing projects.

Between my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I spent time volunteering overseas. Here are a few of the highlights:
